Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, actor and musician, is well-known for his smart and hard-edged roles in action movies. Together, they have appeared in movies that have grossed more than $2.5 billion dollars. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German actor, was born in Idar–Oberstein West Germany on March 19 1955 to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey), who lived on a military base within the United States. His family moved to America shortly after his birth. He was raised in Penns Grove (New Jersey) where his mother worked as a bank clerk and his father worked as an electrician and in factories. Willis began to develop an interest for the dramatic arts in high school, and was "discovered" when he was working at a cafe located in New York City and then appeared in a couple of off-Broadway productions. A night, he was working as a bartender and was noticed by a casting agent who liked his style of work. He was looking for bartenders to play an unimportant role in a movie. Willis auditioned for a range of film roles, but he was not credited. He ultimately got the role of David Addison, a private eye, along with Cybill Shepherd in the romantic comedy show Moonlighting (1985). The sarcastic and wise-cracking P.I. Some believe it's a practice run to prepare for Willis his role in Die Hard (1988), where he defeated a gang international of thieves from a Los Angeles skyscraper. In the sequel, Die Hard 2 (1990), Willis reprised his role in the role of McClane. The story was set in Washington's Dulles International Airport where a group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers are trying to reclaim a corrupt South American general. A sequel, Die Hart with Avengeance (1995) was a smash success. It starred Samuel L. Jackson as a cynical Harlem shopkeeper who is forced to join forces with McClane in a bombing spree that takes place in the midst of a scorching New York day.
