Emma Watson
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris, France, to British parents, Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson both lawyers. When she was five years old, old, she moved to Oxfordshire where she attended Dragon School. Emma began to realize when she was six that wanted to be an actress. For a number years she studied at the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and was taught dancing, singing, acting and much more. At the age of 10 Emma was already performing engaged in Stagecoach productions as well as school productions. Casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (192001) which was the film adaptation J.K. Rowling’s bestselling novel. Casting agents came across Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consecutive auditions, David Heyman revealed to Emma and Rupert Grint (other applicants) that they were given the roles of Hermione Gringer, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on the screen was the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It was the top-grossing feature in 2001, breaking records in terms of opening-day sales as well as opening-weekend performances. The film was praised by critics and the performance of its actors who were just starting out. The Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper with a large readership, described her performance as "admirable". Emma won the Young Artist Award as Leading Young Actress in the feature Film, and was later nominated for a further five awards. Emma was among the most famous actresses after the movie's success. For nearly ten more years, she played the part as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone 2001, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 2004 and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 2005. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 2007 and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2009, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011). Emma was nominated for two Critics Choice Awards from the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
