Brooke Christa Shields Bio

Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31, 1965) is an American actress and model. She was 12 when she was a child model. She won critical acclaim for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She modeled into her teenage years, and was widely praised for her part in the film of Louis Malle's Pretty Baby. Shields began acting again in the 1990s and appeared in minor parts in movies. She also played a prominent role in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), where she earned two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. Shields was back on NBC in 2017 for the role of a regular Law & Order: Special Victims character from the 19th season of the show. Since 2014, Shields has voiced Beverly Goodman in the Adult Swim animated series Mr. Pickles and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was born in Manhattan, New York on May 31, 1965. She is the daughter of model and actress Teri Shields (nee Schmon; 1933-2012) and businessman Frank Shields (1941-2003). Based on William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields was a descendent of several noble families from Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Marina Torlonia di Civitella Cisi di Civitella was her paternal grandmother. She was the daughter of an American socialite as well as an Italian prince. Her great-uncle Alessandro Torlonia, an Italian nobleman, was the husband of Infanta Beatriz in Spain. Teri was paid an amount from the family of Frank to stop the pregnancy.
