Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in the field of pop. The band was founded in 2009. The
group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson. They
first signed to Nick Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records.
The group appeared on the Nickelodeon television show of the similar name, Big
Time Rush. The show aired from the beginning of November 28, 2009 through July
25, 2013. The pilot episode featured "Big Time Rush" the group's debut
single as a promotional track. The group has released three studio albums: BTR
in 2010 and Elevate in 2011, and 24/Seven in 2013. In 2014, the group took an
indefinite break that ran through 2021. The group then returned to live shows
and then released "Call it Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big
Time Rush to an album deal in the year 2009, along with its tv show, Big Time
Rush. In the following year, Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label
Group to produce the show and to include original soundtrack to the show. For
the show, their first single, "Big Time Rush", was released on
November 29th the 29th of November, 2009. The announcement was made by
Nickelodeon in November 2009, the show was first broadcast for the time in the
Americas. It then debuted internationally. The show premiered during a one-hour
special preview of the series and is the current theme for the show's opening.
The series also saw songs released as promotional singles like "City is
Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush recorded "Famous"
by Play. The song was released on iTunes on June 29th 2010. After its series
premiere, another song, "Halfway There", was released on iTunes on
April 27 on the 27th of April in 2010. It was soon their first charting song on
the Billboard Hot 100. It hit 93 on the list thanks to digital sales. On
September 21 on the 21st of September in 2010, Big Time Rush released second
single "Till I Forget About You" in order to announce the release of
their debut album. On the 11th of October, 2010, the album, called BTR was
released to the general public. The album reached number 3 on the Billboard 200
and sold 67,000 copies within the first week.
