Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie (originally Angelina Jolie Voight) is an American actor and director most well-known for her sexual edginess, sex appeal, and humanitarian work. Her supporting role in Girl, Interrupted (1999) was one of the roles she received in the Academy Award. Jolie, the daughter of actor Jon Voight, spent most of her early life in New York. She moved to Los Angeles when she was 11. After two years at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute She enrolled at Beverly Hills High School. Later, she studied drama at New York University. Also, she was an actor in theatre productions. She also performed as a model and in music videos. Jolie met Jonny Lee Miller (1996 divorced in 1999).). It was not well-received, and neither were other movies. Jolie as the role of the governor's wife of Alabama's segregationist governor attracted a lot of attention in 1997. In the following year, she received an award called the Golden Globe Award. She played the role of a supermodel who struggles with addiction to drugs in the HBO film Gia in 1999. This role earned her numerous accolades, including the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award. Following her Oscar-winning performance in Girl, Interrupted, Jolie appeared in Pushing Tin, a comedy featuring John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton, and in 2003 she was divorced. She played the role of the girlfriend of the carjacker (Nicolas Cage) in Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000) and later took on a British accent and was able to master combat sports and street fighting for the main roles in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). She played the role of Alexander's mother in Oliver Stone’s Alexander in 2004. She additionally, she starred alongside Jude Law and Gwyneth paltrow in Sky Captain: The World of Tomorrow the thriller about sci-fi set in 1930s New York City. Both films were box-office disappointments, but Jolie scored a hit in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), in which she played an assassin disguised as a typical housewife. While making the film she was introduced to Brad Pitt, who became her partner.
